Crystal Clear?!

Since I tweeted about my first Medical Microdermabrasion treatment on Friday I have been inundated with emails and tweets from you lovely people asking me a million and one questions about the treatment. So rather than reply to each one of you individually, which I would love to do if I had the time, I don’t; so everything you need to know about the treatment, and my experience of it is here! Enjoy x

Okay, so what is Microdermabrasion (MD)?! MD is an exfoliation treatment that basically hoovers away a layer of your face! Sounds strange but it’s seriously fantastic! The exfoliation is completely non-invasive; a mechanical tool exfoliates and removes the dead skin by firing microscopic aluminium oxide crystals at your face! It’s not painful and lasts between 30 and 45 minutes depending on the package you choose. Mine was about half an hour. I’ve heard lots of people say MD’s not very relaxing, but I was soo relaxed! I mean, I was lying down for half an hour in the afternoon – it was great! As well as that, the service and attention to detail at Hena Salons was amazing. Maybe that’s why I loved it so much!

Before Friday, I had never heard of MD and have found my skin is definitely softer since having the first treatment.  It was never bad before, but I always strive for perfection, and it was certainly never perfect. I’ve already had compliments and am eagerly awaiting my next treatment.

You might be wondering why I need another treatment, if my skins already looking great?! Well, whilst I have definitely seen an improvement, my skin’s not perfect….yet! I’ll be having more treatments, and be blogging about each and every one- giving you a step-by-step guide to MY experiences of MD. I can’t say how you might find it and I can’t judge how the treatment would be from every salon but I will give you honest opinions of my experiences of MD at Hena Salons, London’s largest beauty brand J

So ladies, (and gentlemen!) Keep your eyes peeled for my next blog! If there is anything you would like me to discuss next time, or if you have any questions feel free to email me at info@emmasingh.com
